STUNT is a head-to-head game between two teams who execute skills-based routines in various categories – partner stunts, jumps and tumbling, pyramids and tosses, and team routines. Scoring is consistent with other sports.

STUNT Announced as the Next GLVC Sport in 2025-26

The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced Friday it will start sponsoring STUNT as its 26th sport, beginning in the 2025-26 academic year.

The inaugural season of GLVC STUNT will feature six institutions, including full-time league members Drury University, Lewis University, Maryville University, Quincy University, and Southwest Baptist University, as well as associate member East Stroudsburg University. East Stroudsburg was approved for associate membership status in September 2024. [read more…]

Great Midwest Adds STUNT as a Championship Sport

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference added STUNT as a championship sport for the 2022-2023 season. “The Great Midwest is proud to be adding STUNT to the league’s annual championship programming,” said Great Midwest Commissioner Tom Daeger. “The fast-growing sport is another opportunity to provide championship competition for female student-athletes in our conference. Our STUNT coaches and student-athletes are looking forward to having their sport recognized by the conference along with their fellow Great Midwest student-athletes.” [read more…]

Lone Star Conference Adding STUNT Spring 2024

The Lone Star Conference is adding STUNT as an official league sport for the 2024 season. LSC member institutions with STUNT include DBU, St. Mary’s, Texas Woman’s and UT Tyler. Texas A&M-Kingsville has announced the addition of its STUNT program beginning in spring of 2025. The LSC regular season for STUNT will include one conference contest against each opposing team. The results will determine seeding for the four-team conference championship, with the inaugural championship March 23, 2024 at the site of the top seed. STUNT will have players of the week, all-conference teams and all-academic teams and student-athletes will be eligible for all major conference awards. [read more…]

More About STUNT – FAQs

  • The recommended minimum number of athletes on a team is sixteen (16). This gives the team the opportunity to compete in all routines provided.
  • There is no maximum number of athletes. Refer to your institution guidelines on number of athletes allowed to be on the sideline and travel team.
  • STUNT is a spring sport and should follow the spring season. The typical spring season runs from February-early May.
  • A member institution shall include a minimum of eight (8) and maximum of fourteen (14) athletic DATES of competition in its total playing schedule during the STUNT season.
