STUNT in your State

STUNT is a female sport that incorporates skills derived from cheerleading. STUNT is a sanctioned CIF sport being played across the state. If you are interested in playing STUNT, please read through the information below.

Girls STUNT Section Championships will be held on or before May 2, 2026 

  • Northern Section** (CIF sponsored) Dates TBA 
  • North Coast Section (CIF sponsored) Dates TBA 
  • Sac-Joaquin Section (CIF sponsored) Dates TBA 
  • Central Coast Section** (TBD) Dates TBA 
  • Central Section (CIF sponsored) Dates TBA 
  • Los Angeles City Section (CIF sponsored) April 26 
  • Southern Section (Administered by USA Cheer) April 27 – May 2  
    • League games must be completed on or before April 25, 2025. (These bullet points need to be indented under Southern Section)
    • 1st round and Quarter Finals April 27-May 1
    • Semis & Championships May 2 @ Brea Olinda High School

** If no Section Championship is played, the team advancing to the State Championship must play in 6+ qualifying games. 

Girls STUNT State Championships will be held May 8-9, 2026 

Requirements: 

  • Girls STUNT teams must participate in their Section Championship or be their Section Champion. 
  • Further information on number of teams qualifying will be provided in the Spring. 
  • The State Tournament will be a seeded event split into Division I and Division II. USA Cheer will use a data based ranking system to determine their division placement. 
  • Once Girls STUNT teams have begun playing qualifying games, no changes can be made to their roster. 
  • Girls STUNT teams must have played 6+ qualifying games in league play to be considered for the State Tournament.

New York Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL)

NY PSAL has been playing STUNT since their pilot season in 2014! If your PSAL team is interested in joining them, visit the PSAL STUNT website for more information.

Wake County Public Schools

STUNT is a Varsity sport at Wake County Public Schools. If your school is interested in playing STUNT in Wake County, please contact Deran Coe.
